Amid opposition boycott, one-day Nagaland Assembly session held

In the midst of the nonattendance of restriction Naga People's Front (NPF) lawmakers who boycotted the sixth meeting of thirteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) here today, Nagaland's Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Health and Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom offered the expression on the floor of the House on COVID-19 pandemic circumstance in the state. Prior, in front of the meeting, State Chaplain Rev TW Yamyap Konyak petitioned God for the meeting, which was trailed by the arrival of Nagaland Assembly Chronicles (a biannual diary) by Chief Minister Rio.

Afterwards, NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer suspended the meeting sine-pass on at around 11:38 AM subsequent to finishing all the business recorded for the meeting. On August 12, the Opposition NPF said that it would blacklist the 6th meeting referring to the Speaker's refusal to acknowledge the solicitation for augmentation of the meeting by the gathering.
