The Filmfare Awards are back and this time, as they will be hosted in Guwahati, Assam, and it will be even more special. The event will take place outside of Mumbai for the very first time. Filmfare is without a doubt one of the country's most prestigious awards and now the Assam government has signed a MOU with the Times Group to bring the extravagance of Bollywood to their state in 2020.
Mr. Vineet Jain, CEO of Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited and Mr. Deepak Lamba, CEO of Worldwide Media Pvt. Together with Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, Honorable Chief Minister, Govt of Assam, & Mr. Chandan Brahma, Honorable Minister of Tourism, Govt of Assam, Mr. Jayanta Malla Baruah, Honorable Chairman of Assam Tourism Development Corporation, and Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Tourism, Govt. Assam signed the MOU to officially host the next edition of the Filmfare in Guwahati by the Assam Government.
