A joint group of Manipur Police and Assam Rifles held onto brown sugar worth Rs 2 crore and captured three people from the Bishnupur locale, police said on Sunday.
The sugar was seized during checking at Tangjeng close to Ibudhou sanctuary in the Bishnupur region.
The security faculty captured a 34-year-elderly person distinguished as Thangkohsat Guite concealing the brown sugar in cleanser cases in an enormous knapsack on Saturday night, they said.
The security powers likewise captured two different people 41-year-old Thangsei Guite and 46-year-old Warepam Ramesh Singh who were with Guide.
The captured people and the held onto things were given over to Kumbi police headquarters and a case has been enrolled, the police added.
