The newest party Raijor Dal's leader Akhil Gogoi has chosen to pull out his candidature from the Mariani Assembly body electorate.
Mariani will go to the Assam Assembly elections 2021 in the principal stage, booked to be hung on March 27, 2021.
Akhil Gogoi has chosen to pull out his candidature from the Mariani seat to overcome the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party said.
After the withdrawal of the candidature by Gogoi, there will be an immediate challenge between Congress MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi and BJP candidate Ramani Tanti.
Prior, the election authorities dismissed the designation of Alak Kumar Ghose, the competitor of the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP).
The candidature of Ghose was dismissed for his inability to present the necessary archives.
He gave an intense battle against Rupjyoti Kurmi in the last political race as an Independent competitor.
Contesting from Sivasagar Seat:
Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi, be that as it may, will challenge from Sivasagar Assembly seat.
Akhil Gogoi, who has been in prison since December 2019, presented his designation to the specialists of Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), where he is going through therapy.
Presentation through Facebook:
"This choice has been taken by Raijor Dal and its leader Akhil Gogoi just to overcome the BJP. For the public interests, Akhil Gogoi has chosen not to challenge the home supporters, Mariani, where he had odds of winning. Our point isn't simply to get force or cross the political decision," Raijor Dal composed on its Facebook page.
"We need to create Assam with another look. This excursion by us is to get the eventual fate of the Assamese people group in the genuine sense," Raijor Dal composed on its Facebook page.
