The Kamrup (Metro) district administration is making plans to lessen the gap between bus stops to 750 metre in Guwahati.
During a meeting of the Regional Transport Authority of Kamrup (Metro) district on Monday, deputy commissioner Biswajit Pegu said that the selection has been taken to stop the unauthorized halting of town buses in Guwahati.
He also stated that the decision have been taken in step with an order of the Gauhati High Court.
Pegu stated that the flow has been taken for the green functioning of the public delivery system in Guwahati.
He also urged all RTA officers and representatives of shipping associations to make sure implementation of recently formulated time card device in every metropolis bus plying in and round the town.
The DC also said that each metropolis bus will need to strictly comply with the routes that had been formulated by means of the RTA at the side of the police administration and different departments.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Ranjan Bhuyan said that the visitors’ congestion trouble inside the metropolis might decrease lots if every metropolis bus abides with the aid of all the guidelines and rules formulated by using the administration.
