The Assam Cinema Hall Owners' Association (ACHOA) has chosen not to open the cinema halls till thirteenth November. This comes after the Assam government provided rules to resume halls across Assam from October 15, following seven months of COVID-19 instigated lockdown.
The owners have referred to worries of failed electricity as a purpose behind the choice to not open.
Another issue has been the fixed charge, which is the base charge that will be paid for power. The operators have been exacted an extra punishment for not utilizing power in the lockdown.
