Two people, including a Myanmarese, have been captured for having heroin worth over Rs 8 lakh in Mizoram, an authority said on Tuesday.
Following up on a hint, authorities of Excise and Narcotics Department alongside Assam Rifles workforce held onto 237.5 gm of heroin worth Rs 6.30 lakh from a drug peddler at Zokhawthar town on the Mizoram-Myanmar verge on Monday, a representative of the division said.
In another episode, 68.6 gm of heroin worth Rs 1.75 lakh was seized from the ownership of a Myanmarese at Zokhawthar on Tuesday, the representative said.
The charged have been reserved under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
