In the Lakhimpur district, the COVID-19 positive rate has decreased. Despite an alarming number of COVID-19 cases being discovered in the district till July 27, only 829 Novel Coronavirus-infected patients have been discovered in the district in the last 12 days since July 28. On the 28th and 29th of July, however, over 100 cases were discovered in the district. During those two days, a total of 105 and 115 patients were found. Since then, the number of COVID-19 cases detected in the district has dropped to below 100. On Sunday, only 37 new instances were discovered in the district.
Since April 1 of this year, the District Health Department in Lakhimpur has recorded a total of 10,893 COVID-19 cases during the second wave of the epidemic. COVID-19 tests have been given to 721 flight passengers and 7,589 train passengers across the area since April 1.
The district's positive rate was 2.37 percent on Sunday, with a recovery rate of 94.04 percent. Until now, the district's mortality rate has been 0.95 percent.
