For the Forthcoming Elections, Congress to Finalise Candidates Name Today

The primary meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Congress is probably going to be held here on Saturday to settle the names of candidates for the initial two periods of the West Bengal and Assam Assembly polls.

 

The gathering will be held using video-conferencing. Senior heads of the meeting and heads of Congress' West Bengal and Assam units will likewise partake in the gathering. 

 

In West Bengal, Congress is in a pre-survey partnership with Left parties and the recently drifted Indian Secular Front (ISF) by Furfura Sharif cleric Abbas Siddiqui. Then, 92 seats have been finished for Congress in the partnership.

The Alliance:

 

The partnership had on Friday reported the names of electorates from where each gathering will challenge for the initial two periods of the get together political decision in West Bengal. The agreement on certain seats is yet to be shown up by the union accomplices. The Left Front likewise reported the names of candidates for the seats dispensed to it. 

 

In Assam, Congress has held hands with Badruddin Ajmal-drove AIUDF, left parties and Bodoland People's Front (BPF) to frame the "grand alliance". The seat conveyance is yet to be reported. 

 

For West Bengal Elections:

 

West Bengal Assembly decisions for 294 seats will be held in eight stages beginning from March 27 with the last round of casting a ballot occurring on April 29. 

 

Then again, Assam Assembly decisions will be held in three stages. In the primary stage, 47 seats in 12 locales will go to the surveys on March 27. In the subsequent stage, 39 supporters in 13 areas will go to the surveys on April 1 while 40 assembly constituencies in 12 regions to go on surveys on April 6.
