For Upcoming First Phase Election, Dry Day Declared in Assam

Given the upcoming first phase of Assembly elections in Sonitpur district, the Deputy Commissioner vide an order has declared dry days throughout the world of Sonitpur district w.e.f 6 PM of Annunciation to 6 PM of March 27, 2021. Moreover, the day of the counting of votes which is fixed on May 2, 2021, is additionally declared a Dry Day within the district till the method of counting is over.

 

All government-licensed IMFL retail OFF/ON shops, hotel ON, clubs, country spirit retail shops and wholesale warehouses, IMFL wholesale warehouses, within the district will remain closed lately. It's prohibited to sell, possess, distribute and consume any quite intoxicants within the area during the amount. Any violation of the order shall be addressed under relevant provisions of the Assam Excise Act and Rules.

 

Given the primary phase of the following election to the Assam State Legislative Assembly-2021, the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat vide an order has declared Dry Day from 6 PM of Annunciation to six .00 PM of March 27, 2021, and on the day of relying on May 2 till the method of counting is over.

 

During the Dry Day, all wholesale warehouses, IMFL retail OFF / ON / Club ON / Hotel ON and Country Spirit Shops will remain closed. Further, during this era, the storage of liquor in unlicensed premises has been banned. Steps are going to be taken to ban the sale of liquor in adjoining areas of the district with the State of Nagaland. Any violation of this order is going to be addressed under the relevant provisions of the Assam Excise Act and Rules and therefore the provision of Section 135 C of Election Rules.
