The scheduled high school leaving certificate examination to be conducted by the Board Of education Manipur(Bosem) and therefore the higher secondary examination of the Council of upper education Manipur (Cohsem) are postponed because of the recent surge of COVID-19 cases within the state. Manipur's Education Minister S Rajen Singh announced the postponement of faculty exams during a news conference at the minister's office at the old secretariat in Imphal on Monday evening.
Minister Rajen said that given the 2nd wave of COVID-19 pandemic and an ever-increasing number of COVID cases the govt has decided to postpone Bosem and Cohsem exams 2020-21 as a precautionary measure. Rajen maintained that ongoing physical classes of sophistication IX to XII also will be discontinued. But online classes are going to be allowed. He said that hostels and boarding including private hostels will remain closed until further order.
He appealed to high school authorities and guardians to cooperate with the choice of the govt. A replacement examination schedule is going to be announced accordingly. He also advised that students shouldn't ignore their study reception. they ought to not take postponement of exams as a chance rather continue their regular study reception, he added. a politician order regarding the postponement of faculty exams has also been issued by the Commissioner of Education (S) during this regard.
