In a significant take, East Jaintia Hills Police on Wednesday seized around 250 kilograms of explosives from a vehicle at Kongong in the area.
The explosives were fixed in ten containers and contained 2000 gelatin sticks, 1000 live detonators, and 8 moves of breaker wire. Six people have been captured for moving the explosives.
Police educated that they followed up on data about the development of explosives from the 4 Kilo region towards Kongong and recognized a Bolero bearing Assam enrollment number at Kongong under Lad Rymbai Outpost.
On looking through the vehicle, the explosives were recognized and two tenants of the vehicle were captured.
In light of their sources of info, police later captured four additional people from 5 Kilo under Khliehriat Police Station and furthermore held onto another 51 containers stacked with roughly 1275 kilograms of explosives including 10,200 gelatine sticks, 5000 detonators, and 8 moves of wire.
