In Shillong to Contain COVID Spread, Night Curfew to Continue

To contain the further spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, authorities in Meghalaya on Sunday said that the night check-in time will stay set up in Shillong and other bordering zones under the East Khasi Hills area for the following seven days from Monday. 

 

East Khasi Hills' District Magistrate (DM) Isawanda Laloo said that the time limit would stay implemented for five hours from 11 p.m. 

 

Shillong is the region settle of East Khasi Hills area just as the state capital. An authority notice said that given the overall circumstance concerning the COVID-19 pandemic in Meghalaya and to set up the preventive and alleviation measures to check the spread of the contamination, the night time limitation was forced.

Health authorities, security staff, authorities and workforce of fundamental administrations including media and the vehicles conveying fundamental products are barred from the domain of the night time limitation. 

 

COVID Statistics:

 

Meghalaya has so far revealed 13,761 COVID-19 cases while 146 individuals have surrendered to the illness. On Sunday, the number of dynamic cases remained at 74, while 13,541 individuals have recuperated.
