In a baffling occurrence, a human hand was discovered lying out and about in Manipur's Senapati area on Wednesday night. Notwithstanding, the police are yet to discover the specific reason for the occurrence, said the authority. 

 

A group of police raced to the spot in the wake of getting data from local people and brought back the human item at the Mao Police Station. 

 

"I got a call from Maram bazaar director at around 4 pm yesterday illuminating me that there is a human hand lying out and about which was brought by a canine. Afterwards, I sent a group of police and recuperated the cut offhand," said official accountable for Mao Police Station Jonah Raphuba Chawang.

According to the police, the hand was discovered lying in the middle of Maram bazaar and Maram focuses directly before the BRTF mandir. 

 

On Thursday, a joint group of police and local people alongside sniffer canines completed pursuit activity in and around the territory. In any case, nothing was discovered that could prompt further examination. A sou-moto case has been taken up concerning the case, it said. 

 

"The examination is still on, and we are attempting to uncover whatever the conceivable. I have additionally conveyed messages to neighbouring towns for a missing individual. Be that as it may, no report of missing individual up until now," said the police official. 

 

"As per my perception, it is the correct hand of a male grown-up. Also, since the fingertip of the hand is contracted, it is likely the wrongdoing may have been done in the last four to five days, he added. 

 

On Friday morning, police would send the recuperated human item to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Hospital in Imphal for a posthumous to find out the age, sex and so forth, it said.
