Khanapara Overbridge in Guwahati Decorated with Bamboo

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated three foot-over bridges in Guwahati on Sunday, one among them at Khanapara has been fundamentally finished with bamboo. The foot-over extension at Khanapara, fundamentally improved with bamboo, is intended to feature Assam's wealth of its bamboo assets. 


Other Over-Bridges:


The other two foot-over extensions are at Ganeshguri and Kamakhya door. A welcome sign has been posted on the foot-over extension as it will be the section highlight Guwahati from the Northeastern states.

Life Expectancy of Over-Bridge:


Lalit Kumar Jain the project worker of the Bamboo clad scaffold said, "This extension is the first of such kind in Quite a while. The bamboo has gone through some treatment and it was additionally covered. The life expectancy of the scaffold can stretch out from 20 to 30 years whenever looked after appropriately. The task was finished in 8 months at an approximate expense of 13 crores". 


Kishor Bora Public Works Department (PWD) Registered contractor said, "I made the footbridge at Ganesh puri which was inaugurated today. The footbridges are the property of general society thus individuals should deal with it.
