Manipur heading towards Development: 15 new Highway Projects initiated

With 15 new highway projects on board, Manipur is all set to observe a much needed infrastructural advancement, as Nitin Gadkari lays the initiating stone on Monday 12 July, 2021. These mega projects costing a whopping Rs. 4148 crores and run over the total length of about 298 km have been initiated to promote economic, agricultural and infrastructural growth, which have faced quite a few downsides in the past. 

These Highways are acclaimed to provide a all-weather connectivity to Manipur with the rest of the country as well as other nearing countries, this shall not only accelerate connectivity but also boost tourism, and extend emergency services to even the remotest of parts in the state furthermore. It is heard that the inclusion of an alleged four laning of Imphal-Moreh segment of NH-39 is in talks as well.

The Official event was taken place in Imphal at the City Convention centre in attendance with Mr. N. Biren Singh.

New projects worth Rs 25,000 crore is in line for Manipur in the succeeding two years, which will be started soon after the completion of the current projects, paving the way for its further development,  

Accession of land for the same is prompted on by Gadkari to be done as soon as possible on the part of the Chief Minister of the state so that all the work can be finished on time without any lags.
