A quake of 4.4 on the Richter scale shocked Assam, Manipur, and Meghalaya other than neighboring Bangladesh in the interceding evening of Monday and Tuesday. Till the recording of this news, there was no report of any harm.
The quake was recorded at 1.30 am on Tuesday at 12 PM, at a shallow profundity of 10 km on scope 26.69 North and longitude 91.15 degrees East with the focal point at Nongstoin in Meghalaya. Nongstoin is 81 kilometers from Guwahati, the capital city of Assam.
According to reports, the shudder was felt by individuals in the region of the focal point other than Shillong, Mairang in Manipur, and Guwahati and its edges territories.
