BSF troops of the 30 Bn sent at Muktapur BOP (Border Out Post), West Jantia Hills area of Meghalaya captured 58 country made boats conveying 45,000 kg of dry peas, entering the Indian region through the Lakra River. The boats were going to empty the sneaking stuff conveyed by them and hand over the transfer to their Indian partners before they got grabbed by BSF close to town Lakra basti. Held onto boats and dry peas worth more than Rupees 68 lakhs, expressed a delivery.

U. K. Nayal, Public Relation Officer (PRO) of BSF Frontier HQ Meghalaya said that such smugglings can possibly twist the economy of any country and may hit the business of Indian makers.
