Arunachal Pradesh BJP vice-chairman Tarh Tarak, who is additionally a member of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC), visited Naharlagun railroad station to require a stock of this situation of Railway services on Wednesday. Chatting with the reporters, Tarak said that the railway services are kept at a halt thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak within the country. However, once the whole process of COVID-19 vaccination is completed, we'll appeal to the government to resume the railway services, he added.
He acknowledged that railway connectivity has been the highest priority of the government for better and straightforward transportation of the general public. "The process of the survey to attach various districts of the State through railway has been already imitated by the government. The surveys to attach Naharlagun and Gohpur, Assam via Itanagar, Murkong Selek, Jonai to Pasighat and a few major lines from Bhalukpong to Tawang and Likhabali to Aalo is in route," he said.
Tarak also informed the DRUCC will soon write to Chief Minister Pema Khandu for opening up the railways within the State for the greater interest of the general public. He said that the whole area of the railroad station is unfruitful without regular function. "Immediate railway hotline from Naharlagun to Gohpur in Assam through Itanagar may be a priority to attach the railway to the capital, Itanagar," he said, adding that, as of now no work is being executed on the bottom thanks to the continued COVID-19 pandemic.
He said Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has also earlier assured to attach the whole State for better communication to the opposite states also for business growth. Tarak also said that the general public amenities within the railroad station are going to be upgraded as soon because the railways become functional for the general public.
