Nigerian High Commission to India has mentioned the Meghalaya government to consider the arrival of its 12 nationals mulling in the correctional facilities in Shillong and Jowai.
Betrand Tochukwu Ikwuka, a delegate of the Nigerian High Commission met Alexander Laloo Hek, the minister for Prisons at Shillong and looked for his mediation for the arrival of 12 Nigerian nationals.
All the Nigerian nationals were captured for illicitly entering India from Bangladesh. Six of them are in Shillong prison, while the others are in Jowai.
The captured Nigerians are grieving in detainment facilities in Meghalaya even in the wake of finishing their half-year prison terms.
