Power Minister James Sangma on Thursday said the way toward clearing the dues for power purchase is being done in a stage shrewd way. 

 

Expressing that the state government has profited Rs 1,345 crore under the Atmanirbhar Bharat, he said, "We are grateful to the Chief Minister for having consented to benefit this credit. We are currently clearing all dues." 

 

The contribution of over Rs 1,200 crore and the forthcoming terminal advantages of Rs 840 crore, to be paid to resigned workers, have influenced the working of the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL). The terminal advantages were guaranteed to the workers before MeSEB became MeECL.
