Minister Rajnath Singh will begin campaigning for the BJP in Assam from Sunday when he will address four rallies in Biswanath and Golaghat regions, sources said.
Singh's two of these assemblies will be in tea nurseries and one in Gohpur, a recorded spot associated with the Quit India development.
He will address an assembly at Sadharu tea estate and another at Dafflaghur tea estate under the Biswanath electorate from where BJP up-and-comer Pramod Borthakur is looking for re-election, the sources said.
His third convention will be in Gohpur for BJP candidate Utpal Bora, who is challenging against Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president and Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora.
He will address an assembly at Dergaon in the Golaghat region where he will lobby for the BJP's Assam ally AGP applicant Bhabendra Nath Bharali.
Singh is relied upon to address an enormous number of assemblies in Assam during his various visits to the state in the following month.
Decisions to the 126-part Assam Assembly will be held in three stages on March 27, April 1 and April 6.
The BJP is battling the polls with its coalition accomplices AGP and UPPL.
