Rs 1250 Crore Amount for Road Infrastructure Approved by Assam Government

Indeed, even as the election races are on in Assam, Center on April 1 has endorsed street projects worth more than Rs 1250 crore. The Union ministry of road transport and roadways agreed on endorsement to upgradation, recreation and restoration of a few undertakings, the nation over. 

 

According to a PIB official statement, the ministry has affirmed three activities in Assam. It incorporates a road project worth Rs 286.72 crore in the Bilasipura-Guwahati NH-17. The task will incorporate work of broadening/improvement to 4-path with a cleared shoulder from Sagunbashi timberland to the beginning of the Krishnai Bypass segment (Package 7). 

 

Then, the Union ministry has endorsed work of broadening/improvement to 4-path with the cleared shoulder of Parokhuwa – Dokmoka area (Package – 2) of NH-29 on EPC mode. This undertaking has a spending plan of Rs 335.88 crore.

The third undertaking affirmed by the Center incorporates work of extending/improvement to 4-path with the cleared shoulder of Tulungia – Jogighopa connects approach segment (Package – 5) of Bilasipura – Guwahati street (NH-17) on EPC mode. This has been affirmed with a financial plan of Rs 636.42 crore. 

 

The second period of polls in the Assam election races was hung on April 1. The third and last period of casting a ballot will be hung on April 6. The outcomes will be announced on May 2.
