The thunderstorm and heavy rain almost crippled the normal life of the people in Jorhat, forcing everyone to stop their day to day activities. The Crescent Academy authorities have declared a 10-day holiday, as a huge branch of a tree fell on the third floor of the school. There are several such incidents that took place during the mishap.
As of now, plenty of places in Jorhat and other neighbouring areas are not getting proper power or electric supply.
