The Upcoming Grand Ahmedabad Cricket Stadium has a Connection with Tripura

The world's biggest cricket stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad, initiated in February 2020 - a record which was before held by the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia has some association with Tripura.

It is fascinating to take note that the main pitch curator for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Asish Bhowmik, is from Tripura and his name is connected with the Motera arena.

Player Turned Curator:

Bhowmik played top-notch cricket for Tripura and was a notable quick bowler in state club cricket.

The biggest boundary line is in Motera at 75 yards toward the north to south and 65 yards toward the east to west. Here, obviously, Melbourne is somewhat ahead at 100 yards.

Inside over two years, Larsen and Toubro finished crafted by the whole arena, including the clubhouse and structure.

Daljit Singh, who began the pitch work, couldn't complete it, and they let Bhowmik assume responsibility in 2019.

BCCI Curator:

Bhowmik is by and by the Chief Curator for the BCCI.

He has turned out eagerly throughout the previous four months and made the outfield with the assistance of entire sand to help during downpours, as the field would be dry and appropriate for play inside thirty minutes after the downpours stop.
