The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) would run passenger train a in the Agartala-Silchar and Silchar-Agartala courses to stop the traveller surge from December 1 next.
The Agartala-Silchar Spl train is booked to leave Silchar at 8 am consistently and it will show up at Agartala at 4 pm. The Agartala-Silchar Spl train will leave Agartala at 11.30 am and is relied upon to contact Silchar station at 6.40 pm.
In the middle of, the special train will contact stations like Katakha Junction, Bhanga, New Karimganj, Karimganj Junction, Nilambazar, Baraigram, Patharkandhi, Kalkalighat, Churaibari, Dharmanagar, Panisagar, Pecharthal, Kumarghat, Manu, Ambassa, Mugiakami, Teliamura, Jirania and Jugendranagar.
The Agartala-Silchar train will have one three-tier coach, one every slipper class, chair car and 13 general compartments. There will be no unreserved coach on the train, as per NFR sources.
In the interim, Principal Secretary Sriram Tarinikant held a gathering with the authorities of NFR in the Civil Secretariat here yesterday.
