Travelers Entering Manipur Should Have COVID Negative Report

The Manipur government has given an order making it obligatory for all people entering the state to create an antagonistic COVID-19 test report, an authority said on Friday. 


The authority said the request will get compelling from April 18. 


The order gave by Deputy Secretary, Health office, Soiminlian Lengen on Thursday said that "All people entering Manipur, regardless of whether via air or by street and independent of a spot of the beginning, will be permitted section just on obligatory creation of an adverse RT-PCR/TrueNat/CB-NAAT COVID-19 test report taking inside 72 hours from appearance in Manipur."

The order additionally said that all Army and Central Armed Police Forces units are told to organize COVID-19 testing of their faculty entering Manipur. 


In the interim, Inspector General of Police and Nodal Officer COVID-19 of Manipur Police, Elangbam Priyokumar Singh in an official statement said 284 individuals were fined on Thursday for not wearing face covers out in the open spots, spitting out in the open and disregarding the COVID-19 rules given by the state government. 


He said the police gathered Rs 45,350 as a fine from the 284 individuals for disregarding COVID-19 rules in the state. 


Manipur on Thursday detailed 18 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the count in the state to 29,579. 


The state presently has 141 dynamic COVID-19 cases.
